Dallow Hall Barns

Lovely comfortable accommodation in a peaceful setting - just what we wanted! It was very clean and spacious with a lovely view from the living room. We would definitely visit again if the heating issue was sorted or in winter!

The radiator in the bathroom was on full and could not be switched off - we were told there is an ongoing problem with it. This made the bathroom feel like a sauna, which was pretty unbearable as it was a hot weekend & it also heated the rest of the accommodation up when the door was left open.

Great space, well furnished and well equipped. Very comfortable living room, large comfortable bed. Very relaxed and peaceful environment. Nice outlook from living room on to patio area and on across fields. Approach lane is single track , but we didn't encounter a single vehicle while using it daily, in the entire week. Would have happily stayed on for (much) longer.

Really can't think of anything missing or negative.

Good provision and well appointed

Being woken up by a child at 6:45 on Sunday morning who then ran rampant for an hour through the property. On booking it clearly stated that it was a “child free” location which is why I chose it.

Very warm and comfortable, with a super-king bed and a great shower. Sofa was actually comfortable to sit on too! (Not always the case in rental properties.) We loved the views and I'm missing seeing the sheep have their evening hay, and the rabbits racing about, and the moorhen that wandered up each night to check out the chicken feed ... And it was absolutely wonderful to hear the sound of curlews from the front door!

Kitchen worktops are wood so that was a bit of a worry - in the end I used trays and plastic chopping boards in strategic places to make sure we didn't splash or leave marks! The lane has a lot of potholes but no problem if you take it slowly. (We had a hire car so were extra cautious!) The WiFi worked fine for me (on my I-phone) but for some reason my husband's Android couldn't access it at all. Phone signals in the whole area are intermittent but not really a problem for us.
