Matthew and Dianne were excellent hosts. Their gifting us apples was a nice touch and much appreciated.

The heating in the main room could be improved. Tiled floors, and mid-winter combined to strain the current heaters to warm the place. But the electric blankets were a delight.

Idyllic location, yet close to town and attractions. Produce from farm provided. Friendly host

Quite small and cold. Hot water issues that should have been checked in advance

The rural location and outlook even though it rained most of our four days! Diane and Matt were very freindly and helpfull. We would go again in better weather.

The single bed is the only place to sit and watch the tv in the evening, we missed a comfy chair. But hey we never stayed in much and in good weather we would have been in less so not a serious complaint. The rattly heaters, but it was enough for warmth even though the weather was not kind.

It's a lovely spot and the hosts are very friendly and hospitable. The free apples were excellent! The area is very pleasant but we walked into Hastings CBD no trouble.

It was a little bit tricky to heat the room but it was the two coldest nights of the year!

The place had a nice vibe and was very comfortable. The place was clean and beds were comfy too.

The bathroom had an odd smell thats about it.

I loved the Orchard and how simple life is here on the retreat. Yummy apples we were able to take when we left, the walnuts falling from tree were yummy too. The new Te Whare was an eye opener, ( 1 room with 2 single beds) built in the 1800s, and still standing in its original site. This is also available to book. Enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay during summer time,We stayed during Autumn, it was cold and the heaters were old, noisey. Concrete flooring contributed to cold room. The biggest disappointment was shower, shower head trickles, no proper pressure. Host was wonderful, helpful.Great place to stay if your into cold rooms.👍😊

The location and getting connected with nature was icing on cake
