"Lovely stay in rural cottage"

Lovely cottage in a beautiful rural location. The space was very clean, comfortable and well kept, and decor was very nice. Our host was lovely and Pablo the cat was very friendly and welcoming! We were looking for a base to visit Hay on Wye and this was perfect, just about 25-30 minutes drive from the town.

Location is VERY rural and accessible only by single track roads. But very lovely and would still very much recommend!

Ideal for walkers with lots of walking trails,historical sites, and a peaceful area in which to unwind.

Narrow roads in parts, but just take your time driving!

"Beautiful cottage in a fabulous location"

Beautifully kept cottage, lovely cosy front room and sunny patio area for breakfast. Fire pit area a lovely touch although we didn’t get a chance to use it. Even comes with friendly resident cat who, whilst not allowed in the cottage, would wait in the patio area for some fuss and attention. Fabulous location to escape from it all . We were attending a wedding at nearby ‘The Haybarn’ and it was just a 12 minute drive to get there. Nice touch by Lynys to put some bottled water in the fridge as we were staying on one of the hottest weekends in the year !

Bathroom quite small for 4 of us to share.

Wonderful location. Peaceful quiet close to footpaths. Spacious, light and clean inside. Swallows swooping about. Lovely hammock in the garden. Good parking next to the property. Lovely views. Excellent helpful host.

Basin in bathroom a little hard to use easily with the storage basket above it.

Beds were a little uncomfortable As it was attached to the original house, the walls were thin enough that you could sometimes hear next door

The property is in such a beautiful location and having a big private garden was amazing! Lyny was such an incredible host, making sure we had everything we needed and going above and beyond to help us find local attractions and things to do. She even brought out extra garden toys for our little one which he loved! The space was extremely clean when we arrived and had everything we needed for a longer stay. It felt very cozy and was very quiet the whole time we were there. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the space for a long weekend or week away in the beautiful Black Mountains.
