The house was well equipped and comfortable. We were out all day at the Open Gardens and it great to come home, light a fire and enjoy the country ambience.

"Exceptional"

This is the perfect house for a family get-together. Spacious, beautifully furnished with a magnificent garden, and direct access to the bluff walk. We made some good family memories. There is also a delightful dog who will be there to welcome you. He pops in during the day to check on you and sits on the porch looking regal. We will return.

The Smeg oven's hinges have failed. I can also understand why they don't replace them as they cost a fortune, and don't last long.. There are some bungie cords to attempt to keep it closed. We found that my walking stick wedged from the bench to the oven handle works better. An amusing problem solving opportunity rather than a real issue.

What’s not to like! The setting in the beautiful garden to the house which is warm, roomy with everything that opens and closes. Loved all the fire places.

"A Peaceful Forest Retreat"

We loved our stay at Trengwainton House. The peaceful garden, cozy fireplace, and quiet surroundings made it the perfect escape. The kitchen is well-equipped, and having a dishwasher was a big plus. The outside boma area was great for evening braais. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay in Hogsback!
