"Not worth the money lots of cleanliness issues , the place is run down."

1.0

The area.

Could be a lot cleaner ,the grass and weeds were overgrown We found dark yellow stains on the towels, dressing gowns and bedding (they may of been washed but should of been replaced).the floors were dirty only found out when we picked up the bath mat and it had black marks on it especially the top floor bathroom . There was cobwebs to be fair you couldn't see them at first but they were bad as we found out whilst staying. The place is in badly need of a refurb .we could not use one of the balconies. It was in a state weeds growing and broken glass with a board put up where the glass had been broken.. We used the hot tub and when we came out we found green algae on our bathing suits ,I didn't see anyone come to check the hot tub whilst we stayed .The decking outside is coming up in parts and is dangerous to walk on as there are gaps .The cushions for the outside chairs have holes in them .The toaster had seen better days and you could only use one side of it.

"Replenish the soul"

10.0

This is simply the best self-catering we have visited in decades. We wanted a large house in a beautiful location for just for the two of us, and this was more than we could imagine it to be. Firstly, the location is stunning. Views of the sea and then also back over Anglesey to Yr Wyddfa and then all across the lynn peninsula. All can be seen from the two main decks, the deck off the other bedroom and the lovely gardens and the hot tub. It’s an epic location and the last house before South Stack. You truly do feel like you’re getting away from it all. The walks we did from the front door were breathtaking. A bird watchers paradise and a hikers dream. The walks can be as long, short, difficult or easy as you want. You can walk down the almost 400 steps to the lighthouse and hear the cacophony of noise from the razorbills and puffins, or see it from afar. Alternatively, you can walk across the headland, even climbing the mountain, or walking across to Holyhead or the country park. One day, we drove the 15 minutes to Trearddur Bay. We had a lovely lunch at Ocean’s Edge, and enjoyed the beautiful views of the beaches and the views back to where we were staying. There was also a lovely RSPCA visitor centre and cafe across from the house. Well worth visiting. We went in the evening after it had closed to sit on the benches with a glass of wine and watch the sunset. The house. A priority for us is cleanliness and the team behind Goferydd delivered it. There were also little touches like quality toiletries in the bathrooms, robes and towels, all branded, for use with bathrooms and the hot tub. Tastefully decorated and no expense spared. Large televisions, sky tv, Sonos sound system, excellent WiFi. PlayStation and selection of games to keep everyone entertained. The kitchen was just awesome. Double doors to the deck for bringing wine and nibbles out when we needed them, or for bringing breakfast out in the mornings.

"Great location with lovely sea view and coastal walk"

7.0

Great location with a fabulous sea view and coastal walks on your doorstep. The accommodation itself is comfortable with plenty of space, beds are really comfy and the snug was a great place to watch TV & movies of an evening. Really enjoyed the hot tub even though the cover was difficult to open as the lifting bar was bent/broken. You aren't allowed to BBQ at the property due to the potential coastal high winds but the seating area is lovely to enjoy a drink in the evening and there's a short walk up the hill to take in a fabulous sunset - Just be aware that the Anglesey RSPB visitor centre is right opposite the property and open daily 10am-5pm so it can get quite busy with cars and pedestrians during the day, they also use the route to visit South Stack Lighthouse at the end of the road.

The outside of the property does need a little TLC as its looking a bit tired but fully understand that it is constantly being battered by the sea winds which erodes the render/paintwork. The owners are also undergoing some building works right next to the property which we were not made aware of at the time of booking, although we did not see any works being carried out or hear any noise whilst we were there it is more a cosmetic thing and something we did not expect to see when pulling into the driveway. There was a complimentary bottle of Prosecco upon arrival, however, no welcome pack/hamper or toiletries are provided so make sure you bring all essentials. The nearest shop is either in Holyhead (Morrisons and Tesco) or there's a Spar and a nice Deli at Trearddur Bay both about 10min drive away.
