Great central location. Wonderful hosts who answered my questions long before my arrival. Probably the best stocked self-contained property I’ve ever stayed in, on both sides of the Atlantic. Terrified trip to Orkney.

House has everything you could possibly need. A lot of thought has gone into everything. Location is perfect, car space a a bonus. We had good contact with Sara and Donald before and was offered an early check in too which was appreciated.

Great location, warm and clean. The owner came to the bus station and gave us a lift to the house. Very responsive to one issue that was swiftly sorted.

Breakfast N/A Our hosts were very helpful and Sara met us at the house when we arrived with a lovely welcome basket of goodies which we enjoyed throughout our stay. The house was in a very good location, just off the High Street in town and very easy to access. Parking was definitely a bonus and it was a quiet area. The house was very comfortable, it had everything that we needed, roomy bedrooms and a very pleasant sitting room and well equipped kitchen area. It was perfect for days out exploring and quiet evenings in relaxing. Thank you Sara and Donald

Lovely cosy house, had everything you could need, and high standard of furniture and fittings. Great location just behind the Main Street.

Plenty of room and tastefully decorated. The bed extremely comfortable and slept very well. Lots of little extras like toiletries in the bathroom and basket of goodies on arrival. Though centrally located quiet. Very close to a supermarket and shops. Handy parking so we could keep an eye on the car.

Hardly anything. The downstairs toilet has a tap which soaks you with water if not careful but we soon got the hang of it. Cutlery a little sparse and cooks knife needs sharpening. All minor things.

Good central location in Kirkwall. Could easily walk for food shop or eat out in local restaurants.

Perhaps bigger fridge. Not a problem for us but if you were staying longer might be too small.

The location, decor, size, furnishings - everything really. Owners were quick to respond to messages, let us in early and leave late, met us at the door with a wee welcome pack. Fab.
