Mary's Maisonette

Apart from a few small things that were missing, everything else was great. Very good value for money, great location and very clean house.

The only things missing were the diffuser for the hairdryer (which I had requested and was told was there), coffee capsules, water and salt .

easy self check in, easy to find, short walking distance to the centre, 10 mins walk to both the Greek ferries and the turkey ferries. super clean, great kitchen, bathroom on both levels, insect screens on all windows and doors, two large balconies with outdoor furniture, large comfy bed, plenty of hot water, strong wifi. apartment has lots of stairs, 19 to the first level and then another 19 to the upper level so people with reduced mobility could have problems.

nothing. but the location is on a busy intersection with lots of cars, motorcycles and tour buses. lots of party revellers walking home at all hours, talking, yelling, laughing. this is not the fault of the host, just inner city living

Great location, short walk to the harbour and passing at least four excellent tavernas on the way - Christiana's, Noah's Ark, Vinylio and Mommy's Kitchen - we used these for dinner each evening, didn't feel the need to go anywhere else. The apartment is very spacious with a big comfortable sofa, is well equipped and has two lovely shower rooms. Although there is a big wardrobe a drawer unit in the bedroom would be a useful addition. No noise from neighbours and quiet area at night. The morning ringing of the church bells from the beautiful little church across the road did not bother us. Outside space is excellent with a big patio that always had some shade, perfect for our breakfasts and lunches, plus the two sunny balconies. As it's a maisonette there are a lot of stairs and, as we are in our seventies, that was a bit tiring but not a big problem. Although we didn't meet the owner he responded immediately to a couple of queries we had. Overall, a great place to stay in Kos town.

No instructions for the washing machine, had to guess which programme to use. On arrival the apartment was very clean other than the fridge which had been missed out of the cleaning rota, I assume in error.
