Casa Caminho da Barca

Absolutely loved the setting, romantic cottage, tranquil atmosphere with the most incredible sunsets. We had no car or bike so walking to the supermarket in town took half an hour. Host was nice and kept in touch if we needed anything. Airco in living room and bedroom which was really nice

Place is a bit outdated. Downside for us was that there was no real comfortable place to sit outside. The backyard is lovely but could do with a nice comfy sitting area. Bed wasnt comfortabele either and the shower small and gives or hit or cold water most of the time

Location by the sea was simply amazing! The most incredible sunsets and mornings by the sea. Airconditioning was also very nice to have!

Kitchen was very poorly equipped. Very diffficult to cook with everything that's made available.

The view was absolutely amazing. When the sky was clear you can see pico, Faial and at night the stars! You have your own little house.

To our surprise the first day and a half we didn’t have warm water. Luckily it did get fixed. Half the sockets weren’t working due to a short circuiting. The washer didn’t work at first either but got fixed. Once fixed, the washer dryer left our clothes smelly. The upstairs was way too small for our two kids which are tall adults. Wouldn’t recommend to come with 4 adults. The matras in the bedroom was very uncomfortable. No place to hang clothes which left the living room filled with with suitcases and clothes. Overall the price/value we paid does not compare with our stays at other places in the azores.

Top location, almost all you need inside, excellent view of the ocean and Faial. An extra plus for the washing machine and the dryer which really helps with the occasional rain

Some basic cooking things like salt, vinegar etc. would have been nice. Outside furniture to lay on were missed.

Everything. The photos don’t even pay justice to this little gem of a place. The house was super comfortable and had everything I needed for my stay. Bed and pillows in main room very comfortable, shower super hot and powerful, kitchen well equipped, TV with many channels, etc etc. And outside!!!! The sea right in front of me and Pico at the back! Surrounded by the famous stone walls of Pico. Close to Madalena in case of necessity but isolated at the sand time. Easy to reach any part of the island from the house. I couldn’t find a better place to stay. Carina was super helpful and let me check out late in the afternoon since my flight was at 6pm. Forever grateful for everything. It was a blessed stay!

The location was very good and right on the sea front. The host let us check in when we want.

It was very musted and very worn. There were ants everywhere no matter how much we cleared away items. They were in the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen/living room. The upstairs room would not be able to be used as even in September it was too hot up there and with no air. We just felt it was poor value for money.
