The Florida Keys Treehouse in Marathon, FL

Convenience to activities, clean home with plenty of space for us, decorated very nice, comfortable beds and pillows, perfect deck for relaxing, all the amenities we needed and more, affordable price, the host was very nice and helpful and responsive to my questions. Our family will book here again next time we visit the keys.

The location and enviroment was good.

I had to contact to get the door code. They should send me this before i arrived there.

Th host never answered our messages and had phone turned off,we arrived with the door open and the whole place dirty.The beds were not clean still dirty from the prior guest. The garbage was full of trash,the bathroom dirty basically nobody came to clean the house from the prior guest.It was so disappointing and the host never answered us back.Plus I got home sick with a stomack bug,God only knows I got it from that dirty place,I had no choice to stay because I was far from home. Messed up mothers day weekend.

Faulty lock, dirty shower upon arrival, mossy grill, one of the bikes had a completely rusty chain.

Facility had a few rugs which were not easy for seniors, however, they were not cleaned. When we moved them a bit of debris spread on the floors. Kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom was fine. Bikes need work and barbecue was quite rusted but functional.

The location was great. Even though it was the busy season in the keys, Marathon is a little less busy and commercial. The Treehouse is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, but you can walk to the Gulf (not a beach, but a pier you can sit on) to watch the sunset without worrying about traffic or crowds. The house is well equipped and comfortable.

While there is a nice deck, with a gas grille and picnic table, the gas grille didn't work well enough to cook meat. We had to take the meat off and cook it inside. Also, the locking mechanisms on the sliding glass doors out to the deck are broken, and the right door is difficult to slide. We were able to get the sliders locked when we arrived (it took a while), but didn't use them for the rest of the week because we weren't confident we could get them locked again, and didn't want to leave the house unlocked while we're out.
