Beautiful period property, very spacious

Feeling a little unloved

I liked that the place was nicely situated, within close approximate to shops and Robertson which is the town we had to be in. The cottage also was big enough to accommodate 5 - 6 persons.

No communication prior to arrival received re where to find keys, what to do on check-in and also what to do on check-out. No walk-through of property to and items in the property. The cleanliness of the property was not up to standard, the host was contacted however cleaner never came.

I was a good scenic drive coming from Cape Town. It was self catering you can prepare your own food and everything you need was in the kitchen, you just needed to bring your own food. You could sit inside the house or outside when sunny. The host was very friendly and accommodating.

There was not anything negative about the stay.

The comfortability and closeness to the restaurants. We loved the interior design.

Noise of the cars.

property is very nice but the location is awful. You cannot safely walk to town from the house. Walls are low and you get harassed by street vendors or people begging. The flies and heat in December are bad so a pool or aircon is required. We did not feel safe and we left after the first night. You cannot go outside so have to spend time in doors.

The house was very nicely decorated and the upstairs loft area is nice if not for the heat.
