Great location. Wonderful breakfast. Host Helena was very helpful.

We travelled on low tourist season, so alot of restaurants were not open. Very limited dining options.

I cant get enough words to express my happiness about the room and the amazing house owners. They were so lovely and always ready to help with anything. We felt at home and they were like familly. I really recommend any one to visit the beatifull and mistic Monsanto and stay in one of the host houses

This was one of the most unique and scenic places we stayed. One of the things that made it most special was our hosts, Eloiza and Fernando. They met us, helped with parking, offered cake and coffee when we arrived, and then the most delicious soup for dinner (which we were not expecting). They are the kindest people. We explored this exceptional stone town -- Fernando told us to head up to the castle as it would rain from 4pm-6pm. Exactly at 4, the rain started, but we came home to build a cozy fire in the fireplace. Fernando kept bringing more firewood over the evening. It was just a really romantic and special experience. In the morning, a delicious breakfast, and Eloiza walked down to help make sure we got the car out as parking can be tight at times. I would highly recommend Casa da Ti Maria Pereira in Monsanto, Portugal.

The hosts met us at the entrance to the town, showed us the way to a parking space and then carried our luggage to our room. They did the same thing in reverse when we left. They made reservations for us at a great restaurant. They were friendly and interesting and some of the nicest people we have ever met. The room had beautiful architecture, art and furnishings, a fireplace, everything we could possibly want and a table and chairs outside with a beautiful view. The bed was comfy and they were the only place we stayed in Portugal that provided a hair dryer. Breakfast was great and the host accommodated my food allergies. Monsanto is charming and unforgettable.

Nothing

We spent one night in this unreal dream house hosted by an amazing couple: Fernando and Eloiza. They met us at the entrance to the village and showed the way to the house and where to park the car. The parking was very close to the house. Fernando even carried our bags up to the house. The house has its magical beauty. Everything is uniquely handmade and functional. We opted out of going to the restaurant for dinner but Eloiza made warm and tasty soup for us as they could not keep their guests hungry. Next morning she brought us big breakfast: meats, cheeses, eggs, yogurts, fruits, bread, etc. The house is on a quiet street and at night it is dead quiet. Early in the morning we had the entire village to ourselves and hike almost every street. This is the best place to stay!

Everything was more than perfect.
