PAAK Hotel

It was magical to be able to stay in a place with so much historical background. Like stepping into a movie set but it was real life. The kitchen is very well fitted out and the Beer on tap is a nice touch.

This is an amazing hotel/house. It is right in the center of the old district and an easy walk to all of the main attractions including the castle and many other restored, historical sites. It is also a generally convenient place with many options within walking or driving distance.

There wasn't much to not like about this house and the hosts who were amazing. If you visit in the winter and are not used to a winter climate, I recommend packing lots of warm clothing. We are from Singapore and the living room got very cold at night. But it wasn't anything that changed our experience.

the smart door lock didn't work properly but it didn't bother us enjoying our time there.

This house and town were an amazing surprise. We had plans to see and do a number of things in the Miyazaki area and I had booked this house because it looked nice online. Shortly after arriving at the house, my girlfriend and I both said we didn't want to leave the house. We scrapped all of our plans and enjoyed the house and neighborhood for our stay and it was the best part of our extensive trip through Japan. Every little detail of the house was perfect. It was so comfortable, peaceful and beautiful, I think it added years to my life. Then there is the town. A perfect little castle town with fantastic surprises on every street from beautiful landscapes to museums to Izakayas, restaurants and shops.

Depending on your itinerary, may be a bit out of the way. Stairway may be too narrow for older folks
