Hawk's Rest

Rusty and his wife are AMAZING hosts! The treehouse is so cool and well put together. It has everything you need to sleep comfortably and room to sleep 4 people. Rusty has 17 goats on the property as well as 2 cats and 2 dogs and they're all friendly. Our 7 year old had a blast playing with the animals. The treehouse has an on-demand water heater so you can shower as long as you like, and the uniqueness of the shower was so fun (single person only though, just so you're aware). I won't spoil the experience for you. You're close to Oakhurst where there are restaurants and food stores. Rusty had great recommendations for the town and for Yosemite. He and his wife are world travelers and have great stories to tell! They also have "The Caboose" on property, a train car Airbnb you can stay in. I toured it and it's awesome too! Don't hesitate to experience this stay!

It's small, but it's a TREEHOUSE!! It's way more spacious than you'd think and the 3 of us stayed no problem. There are mosquitos but they don't get into the treehouse, just be aware.

Location, the view outside, the tranquility of the area, the patio around the cabin, the animals and birds around. The bed upstairs was very comfy, although the stairs are very tricky. It’s quite clean, although the patio furniture had a lot of birds feeces.

It’s very small, there is no table to eat inside. It’s quite cold in the morning. The shower is not very practical, especially for long hair.

We liked staying in a treehouse. Rusty is a great host. Just a few suggestions to make the treehouse more comfortable.

The linens should have been clean and we should have had pillowcases. There were spiders in the loft so it was a little uncomfortable staying up there. The large window needs a window covering in the wintertime.

Wow, you really sleep in a proper tree house and there's nothing you'd miss! The veranda is perfect for a drink at sunset and the bed is super cozy.

In summertime it can be really warm until it finally cools down around 4 am. But there are lots of fans and air conditioning.

The building was very unique and very well built. Creative thought was put into the building of it. It was rustic and would not suit someone looking for luxury. However I loved it, slept well, enjoyed my stay.

The steps leading to the loft were too far apart for me to easily climb up and down to the loft.

Amazing place! Loved the location close to Yosemite. Super unique place which was a treehouse with goat neighbors. Super quiet and just loved it overall!
