Was a lovely clean place for the family to stay . Kids loved the hot tub Nicely decorated

Place was about a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Paignton. Unfortunately we had an issue with the oven and the owner was unable to get it mended whilst we were there , which was a shame.

The bedrooms were nice, plenty of room to sleep. The cafe across the road was amazing, would definitely recommend if you staying.

The hot tub was really small, dirty and was not turned on, on arrival and it was 24 hours before we could actually use the hot tub. It was the worst hot tub I have ever had the displeasure of using. The only reason we booked was for the hot tub and it was a massive disappointment. There was also no tumble dryer or line to dry any clothes, the only place to dry clothes was a home made rack, in the middle of the kitchen, and the only way it was any use was either 24hrs to dry anything or having to turn the heating on. The master bedroom had no private en suite as the doors were separate and the bedroom had a door the shower, toilet had a door next door but no door to both, so anybody walking down the corridor can see as you passed from one to another. There was minimal storage for any clothes. The whole house was designed around sleeping as many as possible, up to 8, but no room to function, the sofa was far to big for the living room, kept tripping over the coffee table and also put a table in there as well in one small living room. For the money I paid, I expect basic creature comforts and a base that is not just functional but comfy, family friendly and this was a disappointment.

Decor was very nice.

Needed a hand rail for the very steep stairs. Dusty and musty smell not very well cleaned. Large glass coffee table wasn’t not actually secured to the base legs and my little boy nearly pushed it off and hurt himself. Hot tub smelt dirty water wasn’t very clean. Some plates and cups were chipped and random long hairs everywhere. The house just felt bit neglected and in need of a deep clean.

The area was absolutely breathtaking.

The contact with host was non existing when there was a problem. Had to get my husband to call to sort out late check out because both late check out and early check in was requested however the host only accept one request and never told us. Day before departure I had received an email from booking.com to say 9am checkout, I messaged her and no response for 4 hours again. The property was not cleaned there was cobwebs in the corner of the walls, food on the walls in the living room. It was quoted "a large double bed" it is two single bed divans pushed together and is extremely uncomfortable down the middle. Hot tub was unusable for the first day as it was" cleaned" however the next day there was sand and floating and a tangy smell coming from the water. It was unusable the whole duration because it semlt of sewage water at the end of the visit and sadly no one used it.

Plenty of room, clean and comfortable. We loved the hot tub, and the hostess Lenka was very responsive and eager to ensure everything was just right. Very close to the beach and maybe a 10-15 minute flat stroll to main bars and restaurants, although there were a couple of cafes and a restaurant in the immediate vicinity.

No real drawbacks to this property, but it is on quite a busy road. There was no noise when the windows were shut, but when open there was some traffic noise. This didn't worry us, but it is worth mentioning for those who might not feel the same.

No toilet upstairs although there were 3 bedrooms upstairs outside space was poor barbecue a joke

We really liked the hot tub it was a wonderful bonus and so nice to have it privately. The house was spacious, the rooms were all modernly decorated as described. It was also nice to have a safe parking space for the car. And the check in instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The host was super friendly and attentive and kept in touch where possible.

A couple of very minor things but nothing out of fault to the host or to the stay itself.
