BLUE HOUSE

Very nice apartment, clean, with a lot of space, we were 3 adults and 1 kid and there was place for 2 more adults if needed. You have everything you need in one home at their apartment, coffee machines, toaster, hair dryer, literally everything. The place is very peaceful and has a nice view of the sea. Owners are very kind, even though my flight was delayed they waited for us to give us the key and they gave us one small gift on our departure

Blue House is towards the top of the village in a location with stunning views over the sea. Its quiet and peaceful location suited me absolutely and was perfect as it was just a few minutes walk to the village centre where the supermarkets, shops and restaurants are including the cake shop! Parking was plentiful and easy to access and I was welcomed by the lovely host and her daughter who couldn't do enough to make sure I had everything I needed or wanted. I had booked a two bedroom apartment but didn't need to use all of it as the rooms were plenty big enough. The place was spotless and the monogramed linen crisp and white, as were the many towels supplied. The hot water took a little time to come through but when it did it was amazingly hot and plentiful. Toiletries, hair dryer and toilet rolls, tea bags and coffee in capsules and some sweets were provided as well as a dish cloth, tea towel and hand towel for the kitchen area. A large fridge freezer, a microwave, a coffee machine, a single ring hotplate, kitchen equipment, china and glassware, washing up facilities, a TV, mosquito nets on the windows and air conditioning units were also supplied although I lived with the double doors to the balcony open most of the time and didn't need any heating even when it was chillier or raining outside. The internet was always excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Blue House and as I intend to return to the are I will definitely be staying there again.

I originally found the house a little difficult to find although it's easy to see from down in the village but when I arrived I was told that the information on Google had been updated and if you type Blue House, Paliouri into Google (instead of Booking.com) it will lead you straight there and it did! I loved the place and although this is NOT a criticism I must say it is not somewhere you would want to stay if you are less able bodied. My apartment was up a flight of stairs to the front door and then up a further two small sets of steps. The village is pretty hilly so the walk to the shops was downhill and the walk back uphill of course. I am in the age group classified as 'elderly' but I had no problems with the walk or steps; I only want to make it clear that it is not on the flat or suitable for a wheelchair.

The view was amazing, directly to the sea and the host was very nice and carefully about our needs. We had an apartment with two double beds and all the amenities that we need, including a private bathroom. Also, the host gave us a goodbye gift before we left.

Everything was nice and clean

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious with amazing views. The beach is just 5 minutes away with a car or about 25 on foot.

Very friendly owner, great location, quiet, with a view

We stayed here because friends were getting married at one of the resorts further along the coast, but we wanted a cheaper stay. For us the local town and beach ended up being much nicer than the resort where our friends stayed. We had fine sand, no pebbles, a wider beach, and more trees than the beach by the resort. There were easy parking options, especially as we went towards evening, to enjoy the cooler sun and warm sea, when the majority of people were starting to leave. We also enjoyed being on the edge of this small town. You could hear the wild insects and neighbours' animals instead of loud resort music. We walked into the centre of Paliouri to eat in the evenings. There are various options for where to eat, with a good atmosphere and kids happy playing in the street late into the evening/night. The hosts came out to meet us when they saw us drive up. We initially parked behind the property, but they told us we could also park in front of the house. This was much easier for us, as we had a small car and the drive beside the house was very steep/sharp up.

There is lots of storage space in the kitchen and a couple of desks, but only one wardrobe/cupboard so limited space for storing our own clothes etc. As we were only 2 people we just used the spare bed and sofa for our clothes.

House is very comfortable, hosts very kind, non intrusive, but always there to support you. The village itself is beautiful ( I think a bit underestimated). It has nice restaurants, craft beer pub ( Medieval pub ) was quite a surprise ( excellent selection of labels and IPA on tap 👍
