The host couldn't do enough for us. Was really helpful and responded to messages very fast.

Access to a lock box for the keys would have been convenient. We only had one set of keys for all, so we had to stay together or meet to handover keys if we separated.

Nothing.

The property was not clean. From first glance viewing it looked ok but once we had put our bags in it was very evident that the cleaning standards where incredibly low. In the kitchen there where handprints on the front of the microwave, the light switches had handprints and dirt on them. There where crumbs and food residue on the cooker top, the fridge had not been cleaned either inside or out, inside there was stains, spills and bits of food and the top of the fridge had not been cleaned in a long time which was evident from the thick layer of dust and two dead bugs. Most of the cupboard fronts had finger prints and dirt marks around the handles. And there was crumbs and marks on the counter tops and the washing machine. The sink looked like it had been quickly wiped over but still had stains/marks and food crumbs in it. The kettle had tea stains and dust on. The bedding smelt musty and although there where no visible stains on any of it three of the beds looked slept in and we found a dead bug in one of the beds. There was no extra clean bedding provided so we where even unable to change it ourselves. Towels where provided in two of the the bedrooms. Upon opening one of the bedroom chest of drawers there was an open tub of creative and lot of what looked like pasty crumbs. The bathroom was the absolute worst room in the property with a dirty shower curtain. The shower head was incredibly dirty with a build up of rust and limescale. The fixings of the shower where dirty and rusty with mould on. The non slip bath mat was extremely dirty with black marks, mould and looked like it had never been cleaned and certainly not been replaced in a very long time. The toilet was leaking from the back and a hand towel had just been shoved behind it to soak it up. The sink looked like it had again had a quick wipe over but evidence of dirt and mould around it. The metal holder in the corner of the bath to store shampoo/shower gel was dirty and full of rust.
