This house is off the beaten track in a very peaceful place, set in a beautifully kept large garden with a pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The kitchen is very well equipped and there are games for inside and for the garden. The professional hosts were very attentive and helpful and when we asked for a couple of extra items, they supplied them very quickly. We loved the homemade apple cake and juice that we found on our arrival. Ruegen is an unknown gem to British people and we loved staying there and discovering its charms and the house and grounds were lovely to hang out in when we wanted a restful day at home. Having bikes freely available to borrow was also a real bonus.

We had two main issues/difficulties with this booking, which we felt were significant, but which thankfully didn't spoil our holiday overall: Firstly, it is not clear on the Booking.com listing that this property is actually two properties in one - a '3-bedroom' property and a 5-bedroom property. It is one house that has been divided up. Therefore, the pool and the gardens are shared. The listing very much gave us the impression that we would have the whole house to ourselves in this peaceful location, so the whole layout was a surprise and we were especially put out when our neighbours were sitting on their patio underneath our bedroom window talking loudly after midnight on our first night so that we couldn't get to sleep! We also discovered that 73 of the 77 photos of the property on the site were of the other house! So, it didn't look like we expected from the photos. (I should say that the smaller 'house' is still really lovely, but the photos are seriously misleading.) Secondly, it is described as a 3-bedroom house. This is also very misleading. There are two double bedrooms in the house and then there is a garden room across a courtyard and past a large pond that has a long seat along one wall that two people can sleep on end to end. It doesn't have a toilet, so you have to cross the courtyard, avoiding the pond, to go to the loo in the night! Unsurprisingly, none of our party wanted to sleep there, but two people had to. Thankfully, we were all adults, but if you came as a family with younger children, it would be quite unsafe to put them out there, and neither would you want to have them in the house and be out there as the parents! When we raised this, they said that the lounge had a sofa bed, but again, that is not a proper 3rd bedroom and it has massive windows and no curtains - so not ideal. I really think it should be described (and costed) as a 2-bedroom house with the limitations of the extra beds clearly...

Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und gut gepflegt. Es bietet auch bei schlechtem Wetter viele Möglichkeiten (Sauna, Whirlpool, Kicker), einen wunderbaren und erholsamen Urlaub zu genießen. Bei gutem Wetter ist ein toller Strand nur 15 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Vom Garten aus hat man einen herrlichen Blick in die Natur auf einen kleinen See und nachts in einen beeindruckend Sternenhimmel. Vielen Dank an das großartige Personal. Wenn wir etwas brauchten, wie eine Fischzange zum Grillen oder ein Verlängerungskabel wurde uns sehr schnell geholfen.

We loved it there! The house is so cozy and the rooms are comfortable and everything is nice decorated. The kitchen was amazingly equipped with everything you could need, from blender till mixer till pan and herbs and spices. The sauna and the whirlpool and the outside pool are amazing and for us it was the perfect place to chill out and calm down.
