"For the best experience of Toraja don't skip Lande Tiny!"

10.0

We had a great time here. We spent three nights here and the owner Wila is truly a fantastic person. Wila is also a very good guide, he knows everything about the beautiful and special culture of Toraja. We were lucky to experience the traditional funeral ceremony which for us was a very impressive experience. Wila also took us too all the graves and other amazing places around Rantepao. Wila also knows the best places for a good lunch and dinner. Wila can also prepare a very good and nice cop of coffee whats also very important! I had a great time with Wila and i hope we'll meet again. Mama Paulien and grandma are also very warm and pleasant persons and we're glad that we've meet them. Thanks for everything Wila!

"Homey, comfortable and very memorable"

10.0

I had the most wonderful stay at Lande Tiny. The host, Wila, was welcoming and truly charming. The experience felt more like staying with a friend than just booking a place. The bathroom and rooms were very clean, and the entire space had a homey atmosphere that made me wish I could stay longer. Unfortunately, I had a prearranged guided tour, so I could only stay for one night—but I would have happily extended my visit if I could. Thank you, Wila, for your kind hospitality. I hope to return someday.

"Spacious accommodation with very knowledgeable and helpful owner"

10.0

Great Experience Overall! The accommodation is very spacious and with a beautiful garden view. Best part is the owner Wila. He's very friendly and has a lot of knowledge from the surrounding area and is keen on giving insight into toraja culture and we spoke with him for a long time. He also has his little cafe in which he sells his own grown coffee and there's the possibility that he also shows you his plantation which is just behind the bungalows. He was very helpful in gathering information for us on when and where the death ceremonies would take place and provided many tips on customs, do's and don'ts so we could arrange everything ourselves with scooters. At one point he also offered us home-cooked food from his mother that lives nearby in one of the traditional houses. PS: For those interested he also offers guided tours where he joins you, he seemed very knowledgeable from the get-go so it's definitely a good option.

The Bungalows were located in a lovely garden, with a beautiful view on a mountain opposite to the property. The buildings were designed very nicely with an open and airy atmosphere.

"Great host, wonderfull area."

The houses are situated in a lush garden. Wila is a wonderful host, and can help you with you planning.

It would have been handy to have some more storage space in the rooms and a comfortable chair.

Host Mr Wilanda is a very kind person. He and his mum do their best to accommodate everyone. Wilanda is very eager to explain all aspects of the Toraja culture. He can assist you as a guide. Always very friendly and no commercial pushing packages. All members of our family had a great time and we look forward to visit again!

"WARNING WARNING WARNING"

1.0

WARNING WARNING WARNING Please avoid this man and this establishment people thinking of staying here. The owner is very racist, aggressive and if there is a issue you will get no refund. My wife and I booked his accommodation online and payed. Once we arrived the owner said that he is sorry the bottom floor containing the bed had been flooded but we can still use the first floor. Upon inspection we realised that we cannot sleep there because the bed was soaked. The mattress and all. We then took our belongings and went to his Cafe which is connected to the accommodation and we told him that it's not suitable and we would like a refund. Then that is where this man become aggressive and racist. He refused a refund and told us to get off his property. He pushed me when we protested and said get out. What was he thinking? He was thinking we would just leave without money or accommodation? That is stealing. So we just went to the police and filed a police report. I encourage anyone to do the same. He wants money for nothing and assualts tourists. What a joke of a etsablishment. I wonder how many others have had something similar happen to them but don’t take it further because its not alot of money. He knows this but this type of behaviour can not go unpunished. He was also bringing religion into it saying he is a Christian. I thought a Christian value was "thou shall not steal"? He was saying things like don't forget where you are, this is Toraja etc. Where am I? I am standing in your run down Cafe talking to you. Don't be scared of this man he thinks he is somebody in the town but he is a nobody. Once we came back with the police, he rang someone that he knew which was some local politicians husband and handed the phone to the police. My guess he was trying to intimidate the policeman by being like “look who i know.” This man just sells his family name for $86 when HE is in the wrong.
