Casa Camilla

Casa Camilla is absolutely spotless, and the owner provided us with fantastic tips to make the most of our time in Syracuse. She also gave us clear instructions on how to find the keys and open the doors, making the contactless entrance very easy. The room was spacious, very clean, and offered a relaxing retreat after a full day of exploring the town. We also loved the cute little view of the sea from the window—it added a special touch to our stay. The location is absolutely perfect, as it is close by a huge parking, the market and the city. Highly recommend this charming place!

Location is in the center of ortigia and you may peak the water from the side of the windows. 20 min walk from train/bus station. The room has all the necessities and it is spacious. I enjoyed the cookies, sparkling wine and water from the fridge and it is very nice to have them.

I found some ants in my slippers in the room which freaks me out a little. The tea and coffee cup are paper cups which look cheap. The hot water heater is from a tank in the room, but seems to big enough for one person to take shower.

I think it is the most friendliest host that I have ever met in my life. I wrote to her for advice, every time received an answer. Siracusa itself, was great, loved the safety feeling, even on the beach left our staff unsupervised and never had the feeling that thieves are around the corner. Location of the apartment is right in the heart of Ortigia Island so, everything is close, restaurants, museums, shopping, etc. Received some amazing cookies as welcome, they were really amazing, ended up buying some more from the market. Out of all the Sicilian holiday, only Siracusa impressed us the most (we stayed also in Taormina and Catania). Was peaceful, was quiet, people are amazingly or by nature nice and smiling, helping, haven´t seen one sad face even though we noticed the poverty / hard life going on out there.

No kettle to make tea.

Very comfortable, great location walking distance to every part of Ortigia. Loved that it was close to the market. Bed was comfortable & shower was spacious.

The AC kept switching off during the night for some reason. We didn’t mind this but there were steep stairs to get to the room.
