"Exceptional"

10.0

Excellent communication with the owners before arrival - the keys were in the box = no problem. Wonderful living in a village house. The house is large, super equipped - especially the kitchen, excellent beds, quiet environment. At the house there is a small yard with seating and the possibility of grilling. Parking in front of the house. I recommend a historical walk through the village (the guide is in the room) and a visit to the local pub with beer with the locals :-). We will be happy to come back here next time we visit England.

"Super cozy cottage"

10.0

It's super cozy, dog friendly and has a nice fireplace - you do have to get your own fire wood when it's officially not winter yet🙈 Nice kitchen and bathroom too.

Long people will inevitably bump their heads into some beams every now and then.. but it's amusing for their short girlfriends and also, part of the charm of the cottage, so what are you going to do 0:)

"Great place to stay, very cosy cottage!"

10.0

Amazing host, absolutely lovely and thought of many little details, such as eggs, milk and teacakes ready for our arrival 😍 It's very cosy and it's a cottage core aesthetic. Very nice please to stay, and we enjoyed the area. 10 minute drive to Crockwel farm wedding venue, so very convenient for us!

Nothing, it was perfect! My only suggestion would be to maybe add a what 3 words to the advert would help the location, as we struggled to find it initially. Or even a photo of the gate would work.

"Cute and well equipped"

8.0

Cute cottage set in a quaint village with easy access to surrounding towns and villages. Nice well equipped kitchen diner and snug TV room with open fire on ground floor, we made use of the cosy blankets provided. There's use of outside space which had a summer house with seating and bbq good for summery days, but we didnt have time to use and it wasn't that warm either. Nicely decorated throughout with king-size, twin beds and bathroom upstairs. The king-size bed was very comfortable in a large room with dressing table and small sofa. We used the hairdryer and found there were lots of nice mirrors to do your hair and makeup aswell as a full length mirror. Plenty of lamps and lighting around the property which made it cosy, radio in the kitchen and WiFi. Can't comment on the heating as it wasn't needed, but there are radiators in every room. Bathroom was spacious, large bath with overhead shower and heated towel rail. Liked the large pink towels and there was good quality cotton bedding with decent pillows. There's a cute little desk area too.

As friends staying together we used both bedrooms, but found the single beds to be very creaky when turning over so that was a shame as I didn't sleep at all well. The twin room is small but so am I so that wasn't a problem. We both used the hairdryer, but it seems like it needs replacing as rattled on high setting. Be aware of the outside access as the cottage is set up on a bank above the road, so you have to walk around a little path to get the the gate or climb the bank, better in dry weather I'd imagine. You can park on the opposite side of the road, so it doesn't have a driveway. On arrival found the outside needing a bit of tlc. Inside the stairs are very steep and ceilings low and there are steps to the snug and bathroom which didn't bother us. Just have to bare in mind that this is an old building with old building features, but the owners have done their best to modernise the property and thoughtfully added items for a comfortable stay.

Leuke cottage. heerlijke bedden. Heel schoon.

Vreemd dat er geen raam aan de straatzijde was.

"Lovely stay in a cosy cottage."

9.0

The cottage was a lovely home away from home! Conveniently located for visits to the Cotswolds, Oxford, Kenilworth Castle, or even London by train from Banbury. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, the soft towels and the cosy atmosphere.

It might be worth noticing that the ceilings are very low. My 6'6" husband could not stand up straight except in a few places. Not the host's fault, but a warning might be helpful.

"Goed verblijf op doortocht."

8.0

"A beautiful cottage to stay at."

8.0

Very clean cottage in a picturesque village.

We stayed on the hottest day of the year; the windows were too small to allow sufficient air into the bedrooms to cool them down. Fans might have helped.
