Casa da Avó Velhinha

Perfect location, about 10 minutes drive from Monsaraz beach. The property is located next to a restaurante, however, there was no noise whatsoever. The owner is a lovely lady that lives up the road (this was her grandmothers house). She gave us advice on what to do and what to see.

The double bed needs to be changed. My husband is 1,90m and could not fit (also, it was really unstable to support the weight of 2 people). Not a problem if it is just two of you, as there is another bedroom with 2 beds. The patio chairs need to be updated. Quite rusty and uncomfortable.

It was a lovely house, very traditional and beautiful. The lady who met us was so helpful and friendly. We unfortunately locked ourselves out in the garden patio area, so I had to go and ask her to let us in again, she only lives a few doors away, she was very sweet and kind.

Nothing, it was all great.

A very charming house that gave us lots of room. The wifi was excellent. The owner is a charming woman who was very helpful. We ate at the Restaurant next door. It was fantastic with the chef recommending some excellent local cusine. Very handy to Monsarez. In February it was cold in the house. We put the heaters on in the rooms that we used but didn't want to use excessive electricity so didn't heat the whole house up. Overall the experience was great.

Nice traditional apartment just few chilometers from the village of Monsaraz. Wonderful view of the village from the house. The lady who host us was very kind.

It is a quiet nice village. It was clean and prepared house. The host was accessible for flexible check-in. For short stays, it's ideal

If you are tall, bed is a bit uncomfortable there is no interior table to have dinner properly. We didn't get introduction to the house so you have to discover where the plates and cups are. (they are in the living room cupboard)

Traditional Alentejano house, a bit dark but well protecting from the heat outside so that we did not need the air condition. Nice backyard for lunch and dinner, in the morning there’s too much sun. Fully equipped kitchen.

No light in the backyard so it is difficult to use after sunset. The double bed is not so comfortable and with about 100 or 120cm very narrow for two persons. Basically there is no table inside, which you could use together with 4 chairs to have a meal inside.
