Blashford Manor Farmhouse Holiday Cottage - The Shire Cottage

Very nice place to stay with the kids.

The kitchen was quite poorly equipped and there was a lot of dust under the beds.

Great location, very clean and tidy place. Added bonus of seeing the animals out of our window every morning.

Location was number one. The Shire was excellent, the owners have thought of everything. It’s very comfortable,clean & spacious. Even having Tea,coffee & sugar waiting when you arrive..

Just lovely! Comfortable excellent value quiet.

Hit by a swarm of mosquitoes not owners fault to be expected in the area so didn’t chance hot tub but still enjoyed ourselves.

An excellent cottage well located to explore the New Forest or the South coast. Nicely decorated, clean & spacious with a lovely terrace outside with a wonderful hot tub overlooking fields with horses & goats. Very comfortable with everything we needed for a short stay. We would love to visit again.

A mirror in the second bedroom would be good & some hooks for coats would be useful, but this is nitpicking! There was nothing we didn't like!

Location was super, close to the new forest and the Blashford lakes nature reserve and also close to Ringwood itself. A bonus was seeing the horses in nearby fields and the goats and visiting chicken at the manor/farm. The place itself was spacious and warm, with underfloor heating being a bonus, the place was super comfortable.

Everything was super, however towels for the hot tub use would be nice. The phone signal was terrible- this is not the hosts fault, but it was difficult to find any “local” info. We contacted the host to see if there was any WiFi and they responded quickly with a device to provide phone signal to WiFi which was ok. In view of this we had difficulty streaming film and series from Netflix/Apple TV+. There was a tv with free view which worked fine but was just freeview. So satilite of streaming services.
