It's such a lovely place for a peaceful, outside of town break. We loved every second of being there. The property has exceeded our expectations. Everything that you possibly might need on your break was there. The whole property is cosy, super tidy, and each room has its own bathroom. The outdoor decking area that looks over the river Gauja, with a fireplace, was a great addition to our stay. The hosts have left plenty of wood for us to burn. There were some bags of wood available to purchase for a good price, if needed more. The swing-chair on the decking was used most morning to enjoy the view in fresh air with a cup of coffee. The place was very secure, with a gate and outdoor cctv that made me sleep even better and not to worry about our car. On the site, there was a sauna available, but we did not use it. The houst was easy approachable, caring, helpful, friendly, and respectful. Was lovely to meet him in person. Big Thank you to the housts, Roman and Santa. We stayed there for three nights, and it was amazing. A great, quiet place beside the river and forest, you’re still in the city, but it feels like you’re close to the countryside. It’s easy to get to the shops, one is a 5–10 minute walk away and supermarkets are just a 10 minute drive. The host was friendly and always available by phone and messages. The house was very clean, comfortable and quiet. We didn’t book the sauna this time, but we’ll definitely try it on our next stay, this is the kind of place you want to come back to. There was also a lovely spot for barbecues, with charcoal and firewood already provided. Three bikes were also available free of charge (two for adults and one for a child), which you can take anytime for a cycle around the area. 10 out of 10.
