Gone Fishing

The location was perfect, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we required. The house manual also had everything in it that we required. The sinks and toilets were spotlessly clean. Excellent communication when we locked ourselves out and was resolved very quickly. The downstairs toilet was very handy too. The handrail to the front door was also very useful for my disabled wife. Previous reviews stated that the rear parking space was too small, but I found it more than adequate.

WiFi signal was very poor, and really needs boosters to beam it round the house. There was a toenail clipping under the coffee table and the bannisters on the stairs were very sticky and dirty. There is black mould on the back bedroom ensuite ceiling, and all showers need a thorough grouting clean. There was also a faulty light in this room. Just a light bulb replacement required. There was a dirty dish found festering in the dishwasher with mould spores growing all over and had spread to dishwasher basket (See pictures) We washed all utensils, cutlery and crockery before using because they were dirty and kitchen cupboard handles were sticky and greasy! In general, the house needs a thorough deep clean. Also, the pool table is in need of attention. The surface is bowed in the middle and the baize is threadbare. The cues were in a poor condition also. The back bedroom curtains shelter of curry!

The owners had thought of everything and provided all we could have wanted. DVD’s, toys and games. It had a very safe back garden to let the children play.

The radiator/ towel rail in the main bedroom was a bit dusty but other than that there was nothing I could say we didn’t like. Oh coffee machine was not working but not a big deal.
