Old Station Cottages

How close the cottage was to the aminities in the town supermarket right on the doorstep also the corrage is probably one of the best equiped I have stayed in

Great property, we loved it. We collected the keys from a nearby hotel desk, the staff was very helpful and nice.

A bit pricey, it would have been good if there was a chair in each bedroom to hang clothes.

Everything - the location is right in the town but very quiet; easy access to the hotel across the road for keys and queries (all the hotel staff were excellent); very nice and 'easy to use' accommodation - clean and comfortable with all the things one needs for a week's stay (e.g. easy temperature control, well-equipped kitchen and extra loo/kitchen rolls, lots of towels, mirrors, hooks, hangers, lamps, all the little things that are often missing in self-catering accommodation). Very comfy beds - much needed after days on the mountains.

The cottage is perfectly located close to the entry in Aberfeldy, 3 min walk from the grocery shop, 10 min walk from a golf field, 5 min walk from an adventure organizer (rafting, canyoning), 15 min walk distance from Dewer whiskey distillery and having lots of good restaurants around. Free parking space in front. It was clean and spacious and provided us with everything we needed. Easy pick up and drop off of the key from the hotel bar on the opposite street. Very friendly and professional staff.

The 2 person bed could be larger - however, it seems to be a standard size for Scotland. The room is spacious enough to allow for a larger bed. It was a bit difficult to open windows, yet this was not due to a malfunction but due to their construction (it is an old cottage after all :)) When sleeping with open windows in the summer there could be some car noise from the main street traffic.

Location was ideal in town centre and central to areas being visited.

Creaking floorboards
