Cosy Rustic 3 bed cottage, great train links

This cottage was even nicer than in the photos! Also, location was very quiet and safe with private parking.

The property was very clean and the facilities were excellent. Communication from the host was excellent and we will definetely look to stay again.

Illumination on the lockbox was very helpful at night. Train links were good and within walkable distance.

Photos were deceiving. Very small for 6 adults. Having a very small living and an oversized/underused dining space seemed awkward. Cleanliness in areas left much to be desired, cobwebs etc. Fitted sheets on beds were inside out. We were sent & reminded about noise levels after 10pm but were woken up at night and early in the morning by the neighbours. No welcome pack. There were notices saying crisps & chocolate were available to buy but this was missing. Towels were very small. Only one pillow per person on the beds. Back garden needs some serious TLC. It looked like a semi-useable space in the pictures but it was an absolute mess, terrible shame. The position of the shower causes water to spill over the bath and the floor is on a tilt so towels were regularly soaked by that water. TV batteries stopped working so had to go to a shop and replace them. There are too many ‘rules of the house’ on pre-arrival and arrival which just leave you feeling a bit uncomfortable - we nicknamed it the no fun house! This property is described as ‘Luxurious’ which is just false advertising. If it was described as it was on the tin, e.g. quaint, cosy, traditional or keep it just as ‘rustic’, the review score likely would have been higher. But you, regrettably, do not meet a luxurious standard as everything was cheep and cheerful (just!)(tea towels had holes in. Duvets barely covered the beds).

It was a shame that the bedroom were we stayed was not equipped with bed side lamp on one side. My husband and I like reading.

What's not to like. Great location, nice quiet area, parking outside property, lovely rear garden, bedrooms great size and a wonderful welcome pack. Would definitely recommend and will use again when we are visiting this way again 😀

Only thing we could fault was the bathroom was a bit dated.

Great location. Bedrooms are a really good size. Lots of storage. And beds we’re comfortable.

Not a show stopper but the Living room is small, you would struggle to fit 6 adults in there. Shower in the bathroom was a bit weak and awkwardly positioned but worked and was clean. Kitchen was small but had everything you would need.

Great location. Good communication with owners. Easy parking. Everything in good order. Convenient for visit to Port Sunlight.

This was a lovely 3 bedroom house and had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. The perfect location for us. It was a quirky little place with some very interesting and lovely additions. The owners, Lydia and Dave, seemed lovely, too. It was quiet around the area, so you can have a great night's sleep.

The bathroom was a little outdated, but this didn't affect our stay. We would only suggest changing the shower curtain. It is a little bit slippy after some rainfall in the garden, so you need to watch your footing on the slabs.
