Black timber house

The house is simply beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen is excellently equipped, with a large selection of utensils. The house is in a very quiet location, yet all the West Iceland sights are well reachable.

Location fantastic if you plan on exploring the Snaefellsnes Peninsula! Most beautifully decorated stay we visited during our vacation.

Liked everything, but temp at night was a bit high and too many moskitos outside to open window, so an AC/ fan would have been nice.

Gut ausgestattetes, großes Haus, geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sehr ruhige Lage etwas oberhalb der Küstenlinie. Angenehme Fußbodenheizung. Zugang über einen recht steilen, gestuften Weg vom Parkplatz.

An der Dusche könnte ein Vorhang angebracht werden. Der Weg zum Meer war nicht begehbar.

The house itself is beautiful. Quality furnishings, kitchen equipment, towels, linens, etc... Location is very cool. On a hill overlooking the water and short walk down to the beach. Quick drive to Borgarnes. The scenery is spectacular.

The only problem we had was that there flies all over the house. Not sure how they were getting in, but they were in every room. The owners were extremely responsive to this and sent someone over to assist with the problem that evening and the next day. Unfortunately despite this effort they were still present. Now I don't want to discourage anyone from staying here, but just providing an honest account, as it did put a damper on our stay. I'm sure this was an extraordinary situation otherwise it would be reflected by others.
