Fab location, extremely helpful owners. Caminito del rey walk finishes at the area, so no need to take the car. The house welcomed us with a bottle of wine. The house has a coffee machine that makes very nice coffee. The pool was nice, it has a jacuzzi function (but water temperature depends on weather, so don't expect hot water). Wifi is strong, neighbors are quiet, very cosy house. You can do bbq, sit outside to eat, it is handy to bring food ingredients as the local supermarket is usually closed according to the locals. There is a nice restaurant at the train station, which is 5 minutes walk. Perfect stay for couples or families.

I can’t tell you how excellent our experience was with this property. First of all, the hosts were amazing- starting with their excellent communication with us regarding our stay, the overall advice and help they offered us etc. Their house is gorgeous with stunning views and a pool. They even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy. In addition, they went out of their way to deliver luggage for us to another city since we were on our bikes and also allowed us to stay way over check out time for our own convenience. This was such an excellent experience and he HIGHLY recommend this property. This is a great jumping off point, not just for the El Caminto del Rey but also hiking and climbing in the region.

Far enough from town to be quiet, but close enough to easily walk into town. Place had a very rustic, homey feeling. Felt very comfortable here. We were given very detailed directions, make sure you pay attention to the videos you get sent.

Not very good hot water. Either ran out of hot water or never got very hot.

Bit tricky to open front door at first but once you got the knack it was ok

The apartment is fantastic. We felt at home at the moment we arrived. The terrace with the pool is simply great. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is very comfortable. The host is very friendly and sent detailed instructions how to get there. If you want to go climbing it is the perfect location.

It is not the fault of the apartment but you should be aware that there is only a very small supermarket in the village with strange opening hours.

the beds were comfortable and the air con was good. the views are great and everywhere is a 5 minute walk to town. the outdoor terrace has a fantastic gas BBQ and sink for outdoor cooking and has a choice of sunny or shaded areas to sit in. it's very clean and modern inside

A nice and cosy apartment which is tucked away between other properties. There was access by gravel/dirt road. This continues for a nice walk up to the rock faces through the trees and great views. There was also a short-cut to the main centre and down to the south access to Caminito del Rey. The owners were very accessible, providing clear directions from the train station to the property. They provided logs for the real fire. This was gratefully received. There was a power cut whilst there, but the fuse box was in the lounge and the switch could easily be used. We were glad we had the real fire on at this point and used our mobile phone torches to access the fuse box. The TV has access to Internet with accounts loaded, which was a welcomed bonus. The Internet is good, the TV buffering is to be expected in this location (don’t change anything once a movie starts!) It was good to see the climbing photos and info on the area - I will return for a climbing tour!

Whilst in a central location, access to the property is up a steep, gravel/dirt path. Don’t follow the Google map direction, you need to get to the trainstation. There was no hot water in the sink and limited or intermittent hot water in the shower. It appeared that there was an optimal position for the tap to be in, changing this just slightly meant that the water would run cold. This was not good when in the shower. We were grateful of the electric bar heater, so not to get too cold. The water seemed to be OK in the kitchen. We were not expecting to use the plunge pool - this would be great to use in summer. We booked the property to visit El Chorro and Caminito del Rey - the property was a great location and contained everything we needed for our 2-day stay. This is an excellent house if you want to experience El Chorro and surroundings. There are hiking trails nearby and beautiful views from the house. The kitchenette is well equipped. No oven but an outdoor gas grill that worked well. To get to the house there is a steep walkway and there are several steps inside the house between the rooms as well, we had no problem with this, but it’s not obvious when you look at the pictures of the house. This might be useful information for other guests. Our hosts were very attentive and helpful. Other useful information: We stayed here in January and there are 3 air source heat pumps in the house, one in each bedroom and one in the living room. This means that the other spaces are quite cold in January of course. In the bathroom, there is infrared heating above the door. We had a problem with the hot water in the bathroom sink while we were here and our hosts were not able to fix it during our stay, but it will surely be fixed until the next guest arrives. Great to be able to make a fire!

The water tap in the kitchen - to get hot water, you have to open it fully and as a result water splashes everywhere... The front door is a double door made of metal with a clumsy and difficult-to-operate lock.
