3 bed cottage tremadog

Great location. Good for our planned visits to Portmerion , Ffestiniog railway and other local activities Great comfy base for our 3 night stay .. plenty of space for the 5 of us .. roomy lounge for family time.. Parking outside for the 2 cars

Could have done with a second toilet , but that was a minor inconvenience

The location- It's only a short drive to great beaches for children and dogs. The road isn't too busy so we there is little road noise. The villiage has various eating places which serve lovely food. Best of all there is a beautiful woodland walk with streams, good paths, trees to climb and swing in etc. There is also a mountain walk just after the row of houses that the property is in. There was good internet access and sky TV. The host was very helpful when we rang to ask how to get hot water.

One of the double beds was very uncomfortable. The windows didn't open. The outside area - not sure which was our bit because all the houses had access to the area. It wasn't in a state that made you want to sit out there and the door was difficult to close so we didn't use it. There was no information on how to work anything so we had to phone and ask how to put the hot water on.

The village. And the front room was nice

No been cleaned dirty bedding, towels, cutlery in the sink someones curry on the side .t.v in bedroom don't work .door of hinges wardrobe door not on only 1 lock works on the front and back door. Don't go out the back garden rubbish and weeds .gas went last day and no emergency credit on card so no heating or hot water to bath. Cobwebs and dusty where haven't been cleaned properly for months. Handle on fridge door broken so hard to open. It's a shame because it could be nice if managed better and a bit of money spent. And get good cleaner if you change £145 for cleaning.

The location is perfect for Porthmadog, Bleneau Ffestiniog and Portmerion. Local shop, pubs and restaurants all in walking distance. The house is spacious - there were six of us (youngest 15 years) and we had plenty of space. It was clean with guest towels and board games. You can see that an effort has been made to make the house welcoming.

The decor is a bit tired - the carpet looks brand new but things like lighting and tiling were a bit dated. But for the price for 6 people for 3 nights in that location it was exactly what we needed and we were very happy.

Cottage was a little tired with some rubbish left behind from previous visitors! Fridge handle was missing and the double bedroom door hidge was broken but could still close the door. 1 bonus (for the kids) was it did have wifi but not advertised as having! All in all was very comfortable but a little dated bit would stay again. Thanks

nothing loved it all

Location was great, a pub, restaurant, a chippy and a spar shop near by. Inside the house we loved the fire place and the rustic house. It was perfect for us (family of four and our dog). The house can hold up to 6 sleeping. Wi-Fi was also available although it was not in the list when we booked the place. Also, they left two member ship National Trust cards to use but we did not because the beach was great for us.

One bathroom it is sufficient for 4 people but if 2 more people were at the house perhaps it could be an inconvenience. The house has 3 levels and some of the steps were too steep. OK, but you need to be careful. We had a hand note stated the oven it was not working but it was portable oven left for us in case we needed but we didn't use it. (please note this was only provisional) the normal gas was working. I think needs a bit of DIY. However had everything we need it, hot water, gas cooker, table for 6, comfortable sofas, two big TV, pretty decent kitchen, ok bathroom, good size rooms. At level one (back of the house) had a back exit door. Unfortunately it is a bit run down but even that we enjoyed on the top, there is a nice spot you can seat down and look at the views. A big mountain is behind or protect the house and from the spot you can see over the top of the house and beyond the village.

I don't usually find the time to write reviews, however I felt compelled to do so after reading the reviews that have been previously posted. The cottage was deceptively spacious, clean, comfortable and cosy & not as is made to believe by the previous occupants. It had obviously been recently redecorated & also benefits from quite new carpets. The cottage was not filthy & was in fact very clean & well maintained considering it is over 200 years old. Do not base your choice on the other reviews because, in my opinion they are not a true representation of this lovely place.

There really wasn't anything to dislike. The bed linen was fresh and fairly new I think and there was an abundance of towels. Another welcome surprise was the supply of tea, milk, coffee and sugar which I was delighted with as I didn't have to go to the shop. The only downside is that you have to turn on the boiler which is in the bathroom, but the cottage warmed up very quickly. Wish we could have stayed longer to make use of the lovely log burning fire.
