Secluded hilltop hideaway!

Fabulous home, everything we needed was provided, great secluded location but only 10 minutes from town.

This location is very quiet and secluded (take its name literally) but even though it's pretty far off the main road, the host provided excellent directions and has posted very helpful signs directing you to the property. The house is very large and fully equipped for any length of stay by a couple or a family. We used the kitchen to cook several meals and the washer and dryer to do our laundry. Then relaxed watching streaming shows on the large flat screen TV. We did some hiking around Aasleagh Falls and the Killary Ford and visited Cong Abbey and the Monk's Fishing House in Cong. Both are a bit of drive from Westport but we were headed north afterward and this was the best location for these attractions and our future travels. If you're in Cong, don't forget to see the statue of John Wayne and Maureen O'hara as the film The Quiet Man was filmed in Cong.

Nothing! Everything was perfect!

Location was great, hidden away on the hillside off the beaten track. Nice views when the clouds cleared. Very quiet and peaceful, no traffic noise etc. House was well kept, spacious, nice and warm on arrival! The kids loved it aswell, thought the beds were great! My 5 year old daughter bagged the four poster as soon as she saw it. Got a couple of nice short walks in in between showers. Would like to visit again for longer during Summer months to explore the location properly.

The only thing we found slightly annoying was having no ordinary tv channels. The receiver didn't seem to be getting any signal. Could have been worse though and there was Netflix and Youtube on the system as backup.
