"Beautiful, comfortable and quirky character cottage and art gallery . In a great location ."

10.0

This is the 4th time of staying at this beautiful cottage. It now feels like home from home whenever we arrive there. We love the art and creative energy. The cottage has such character . Beds are super comfortable and we always sleep so well there. We use it as a base to visit local family and to enjoy the local area. It’s is so well placed for all the amenities and the lovely coastal walks. The local pub the Royal Oak is just a few minutes walk from the cottage and has a great atmosphere, food and beer garden. Debs the host always gives us such a warm welcome and is very quick to respond to queries . Parking in the road never a problem

"Exceptional"

This is a really lovely cottage. Picture perfect. Lovely cosy lounge with TV, plus another lounge which we enjoyed as a quiet space. Two very good-sized bedrooms. The bed was comfy. Wonderfully decorated with lots of stunning art plus ceramics and glass, too. Great kitchen and dining area with everything you need. There is a small garden at the back which we enjoyed in the evenings having a drink in the sun. Owners left a few sweet treats on arrival. Short walk to local pubs, cafes and restaurants in Fishguard. There is a large co-op not far from the cottage. It was a great location for exploring Pembrokeshire.

"Wonderful place to stay"

10.0

The cottage was spacious, stylish, and beautiful, filled with amazing art and artefacts that were also for sale. There are gardens front and rear, and it's located on a quiet road, close to the town centre of Upper Fishguard. A welcome sign and gift were a lovely touch. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The owner is very helpful and responsive to any queries or requests. We loved it and would stay again.

Nothing.

"WOW! 🥰"

10.0

The cottage is sooo lovely! It is as shown in the pictures. Beautiful inside and out. Stayed for 3 days and used it as a base to roam around the area. Would definitely recommend staying in this cottage. It's absolutely fully equipped with everything! Gorgeously decorated and very comfortable. 😊

I was a little bit scared of the stairs, but got used to them.

"Good as an art gallery."

8.0

Nice 17th century cottage that was well decorated with quality fittings. Good location with easy walking access to all parts of the village. Although it only has street parking there was plenty out front or 24 hour parking for GBP3 per day close by. Includes Netflix streaming TV (although the TV is way too small for the room). Very responsive hosts. We were given earlier checkin and later checkout (not always available depending on other bookings and time of year). The cottage is clean and tidy. The cottage has a very functional washer/dryer and very good dishwasher. The hosts supplied some very welcome basic pantry items and had fresh flowers for our arrival. The WiFi is strong and fast but has limited range.

There is no desk for laptop work (despite the desk mentioned in the facilities) so had to use the kitchen table however the WiFi signal didn't extend as far as the table. A range extender is required or relocation of the router. Power points were in poor location but it is a very old house. I needed to wear a helmet to go upstairs and walk about the house but it is OK for short people. A number of the internal doors and the front door jam and are hard to open and close so they need some maintenance attention. The only bathroom is a bit small and probably due for a refit. The heating works well but the thermostat is a wireless device and when we arrived it was located next to the kettle which gave a false reading (easily fixed by relocating).

"I will definitely be returning to Wallis Cottage"

It was so cosy and so beautiful. It had a unique, creative beauty and was furnished with everything that was needed, a home away from home indeed. Close to all the amenities we needed.
