ATTICO D'ANGIO'

Very central location and a good view from the balcony. The host tried to be helpful with parking and also carrying our luggage to the apartment and up the steep narrow staircases (2 sets of them). It was quite cheap for the location so I guess you get what you pay for.

The photographs make it look nicer than it actually is. The kitchen, the doors, the balcony furniture are all very dated and don't match the photographs used. The hot tub was not usable and there was only a rusty table and chairs for 2 on the upper balcony. The kitchen furniture was basic with a very old looking microwave. The cupboard doors were uneven and giving a very old feel. A bottle of water was provided and some hand soap but nothing else provided. The overriding feeling was one of disappointment hence the low score. We left a day earlier than we paid for, such was our disappointment. Its a shame as the host did try his best and we do feel a few easy changes could make a big difference ie remove the hot tub and put some nice furniture up there. Whitewash the walls and improve the fixtures and fittings. (And don't paint over light switches!!)

Location. Aircon in bedroom. Help up and down over at least 40 stairs.

We are genius level booking.com members and in seven years this was the most over rated accommodation in our experience. The following advertised amenities did not exist......ironing board,coffee machine, fan,and additional toilet. It would also be great to supply a toilet seat.

Location is great. Property is at the top of the hill infront of Mecado. In the old town, 2 mins from the beach. Be aware there are no buses in Solento til 22nd June. You need a car to see Puglia.

Everything! OK, the appartment was basic in decor, etc, but superbly equipped. I was already stunned by the shaded terrace, then he showed me the panoramic roof, complete with transats & jacuzzi..!! Everything worked well...wifi, kitchen, access, central location...really a marvellous souvenir of Gallipoli. I immediately asked for a second nite and was lucky (for once!)...i would have stayed forever.

That i couldn't stay longer!🙁 Just a warning to Old Wrecks: it's on a high 2nd floor level with steep stairs! Maybe not for the un-fit..?? But my host was very generous, carrying my valise (case) at chekin & chekout.😊

I really liked Antico D'Angio. It was one of my favourite places in Puglia. After reading other reviews, I was a bit worried about the steep steps. We are in our 70s.. but they were not too bad as there were hand rails. I loved living up in the sky. And unlike some other places, everything was on one level. The terrace was fabulous. the owner was great .. stored our bikes and helped without luggage.

We loved the fantastic roof terrace with amazing view’s. It was also in a great location.

We would have liked to have been able to use the hot tub ( not available in September) as the shower was very small, especially for my partner.
