Communication with property owners was astounding, felt as easy to get in contact with and responsive as if we were dealing with a hotel concierge.

For me and my own mistake, I was not prepared for the amount of driving around required after we arrived. What I didn't like has nothing to do with the rental or the owner, they were astounding. What I didn't like was that in the 4 days and 3 nights we were there we ended up driving an additional 200 miles around the island. A lot of that was due to power issues throughout the island. The only other thing I would say that I was not prepared for was the mosquitos. I'm a Texan and I should have known better, but we didn't bring any with us (ended up buying two cans and using them up as well).

Sunny Catalina was very cozy and comfy. We had everything we needed even down to the laundry detergent. The cargo lift was a big bonus! It helped us to get our groceries and luggage to the top without having to carrying them up the stairs. We liked that there were many extra towels, even beach towels so we didn’t have to reuse the same ones over and over. The beds were comfy. We drove to the beach access #36 instead of walking through the tunnel. I brought 4 teen girls for their sweet 16 birthday. We all had a wonderful time.

When we first pulled onto Saucilito Dr. a man staying in a large tan house flipped us off. Seemed like every-time we pulled by his house he flipped us off. The teen girls that were with me didn’t think that was polite. We ended up driving down Mendocino Dr. to avoid his house.

The property was beautiful and in a quiet neighborhood. Comfortable and clean, it accommodated all of our needs and we had a great weekend celebrating my mom’s birthday.

I wished it was a bit closer to a grocery store.

Great location, great house, great host, great amenities. Perfect spot for a family vacay!
