Location and space

There was a musky smell not pleasant

Obviously it’s a property that’s taken care of. Clean, nice furnishings and a good location. Lots of additions that were unexpected (like the wine, also hiking bags and poles) which just adds to the experience.

Wish it got the sunshine more to sit outside. Not sure I would have called it a terrace - it’s more an outside nook. It didn’t bother us though but some people may be funny!

Valentine Cottage had everything you could want and more! Spacious, comfortable cottage in a great location just a short stroll to the centre of Ambleside and close to many other great locations. Parking available outside the cottage. Fully equipped kitchen, toiletries and even some hiking equipment provided! Perfect for a break in the Lakes.

few suggestions 1 There were no tea or coffee products after long trip this would be helpful over wine. 2 bed was creeks and pillows were very soft and kept follow down the gap maybe a soft and hard pillow. 3 No towels upstairs. 4 kettle didn’t boil the water hot enough. 5 mould in upstairs bedroom.
