We were met by the host who gave a great orientation to the place. Wonderful setting in a village surrounded by nature and close to a larger city. Comfortable and cozy with all that one needs to spend few days. The homemade cherry jam and bread was the best!,

The four Bétula Studios have been constructed with love and attention to detail to make them as comfortable as possible. The owners, Ana and Antonio, are an exceptionally nice couple who are always ready to give great recommendations, for example, about beautiful places to swim in natural rivers and lakes. There is a bookcase filled with good books that you may return or often even take with you (several of them are registered BookCrossing books). The kitchen is easy to cook in. The views from the deck are splendid: there are lots of trees and we saw many birds, including the black-headed weaver. In the night, we could see the stars and hear an owl. On the other side of the studio, there are great-smelling lavender shrubs that attract a wide range of beautiful butterflies, such as the Iberian swallowtail. In the week that we stayed at Bétula Studios, it was unusually hot for Trás-os-Montes (sometimes 36 C in the afternoon), but we could keep the eco-friendly studio comfortable by opening all the windows including the one in the roof in order to create a draft, especially at night when it was about 19 C. So we slept very well in the beautiful quiet surroundings.

It is an ideal location if you are looking for disconnect, which we were despite of just spending a couple of days. I definitely recommend to spend more than two days. We liked be surrounding by the nature and the quietness. Also, having the hosts around and available to explain us some of the routes was really nice! and that makes a big difference! Not to mention, the breakfast! the yogurt, the bread, butter and the marmalade were delicious and although we had some stuff, was very handy!! and the tea of course! I definitely recommend it!

It has a great location really near everything worth visiting. There is no breakfast included, but, the host provided bread, yogurt and coffee that was more than enough. The place is quite and really relaxing
