Angel's (station accommodation)

The apartment was very very pretty and very close to pubs and the main shopping street. It's only a 10-13 min walk from the train station. It had a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and bedroom, which we appreciated because we cooked often. Self check-in was extremely easy. The internet was good and didn't lag. The instant coffee provided was also very good quality. The bathtub is super spacious, although it's a bit hard to get in.

Some things that were missing were cooking oil and a first aid kit (we had an accident during our stay and had to walk 15 minutes to the nearest pharmacy). Also, it's very far from the main attractions and the river. The bathroom was rather small, although very well equipped and with a large bathtub (the fact it fit in there is an engineering wonder).

A lovely little house just big enough for two, Angel had thought of everything, well equipped and perfectly located. The decor is lovely and tasteful, even better than the photos would suggest.

Bit too noisy next to the pub. The back bedroom window is close to the beer garden. The customers don't sit outside past 10pm but the staff/management seem to use it much later into the night and make more noise than the public! Otherwise the property is perfect. If you're a heavy sleeper it may not bother you.

Needs a walk in shower

This 'tiny house' was perfect for my one night stay. I wanted somewhere that felt 'local' rather than staying in a 'faceless' hotel and this suited me perfectly. Everything is very well arranged, clean and comfortable and overall the house has a lot of charm. You do need to have a sense of humour while using the bathroom as it's all a bit tight but all works well. As a solo traveller, I was delighted there was a cosy, friendly bar right next door that served good food. Also liked that local shops were just a short distance away. Would definitely book again.

I had difficulties with the lock-box for the key but it was me just not doing it right. It did work. When i finally gave up, I rang the number supplied and the owners came out to help me.

Matched expectations - clean, comfortable, small but functional! I appreciated toiletries were available, that's such a nice touch whether you'd want to use or not. I only stayed a night, but it's a well equipped place. All information and instructions are shared well in advance, so there's no ambiguity as to how to reach/get in etc. 10 mins to train station, 15-20 for town centre - would stay again.

How small the bathroom is! I was aware of this, so it's not a complaint just strange to realise in person! Be careful how to climb in/out the tub and mindful using the shower - easy to get the whole place wet like I did.

Great little property in a quiet area but easy walking distance to station and a nice stroll into Cambridge city centre. Loved the neighbourhood - lots of eateries, coffee shops, sainsbuty local (but also large Tesco nearby) and charity shops. Beautiful surroundings. Extremely well equipped kitchen. Host very good at communication and check in was easy. Wifi speed good.

Would have preferred a downstairs lounge area with TV but not possible due to house layout (TV in upstairs in bedroom area)

Modern and clean. Short walk into city centre. Free parking.

The bathtub is hard to climb in and out of. The cutlery and plates etc look like old random stuff from someone else’s house, rather than matching sets you’d expect from a modern holiday home.

Everything one needs in the tiny house available, cosy and nice assembly, very practical. Convenient walking distance to the station and many restaurants. Info re: parking very useful, but better just leave the car at home.
