Middle Cottage Southlands Farm

First of all I need to explain my husband is disabled, whilst the accommodation does not cater for the disabled I can not say enough about the Hosts. On our first outing we experienced an issue with our Scooter & wheelchair, the Scooter had a flat tyre and the rubber came apart from the wheel on the Wheelchair. So you can imagine we thought that was the end of our holiday, but Dee & Charlie stepped right up and assisted us, Charlie pumped the tyres on the Scooter and also managed to put the rubber back on the Wheelchair for us. With their help we managed to have a few days of fun in the North, they are a wonderful couple and cannot praise them enough for the stay, the Cottage is beautiful and has peaceful surroundings. The welcome on arrival was very friendly and a very generous basket of essentials delivered to our door. The cottage is gorgeous, decorated beautifully and extremely comfortable.

Very peaceful location abundant with sparrows, house martins and swallows. We stayed in Middle Cottage which is light and airy and very comfortable for a couple. On arrival, Dee showed us around their wonderful extensive gardens which open onto farmland. Some panoramic views from the end garden. We were left with a welcome basket of essentials including eggs (their own) and milk.
