A true gem of a cottage! I had a delightful stay, it was perfect for what I needed

A lovely cottage in the east of Kintyre, in a remote area surrounded by woodland, farm land, cattle and beauty. A special place for getting away from it all. The hosts provided very generous touches including scones, jam, wine and even a full basket of logs...and a great welcome from Dougie the collie/springer spaniel.

Wonderful warm welcome from Ben and Tara. A plate of scones, homemade jam and cream.And a bottle of wine. Comfortable stone barn conversion done to a very high standard in a location of outstanding natural beauty. Extremely peaceful, great for unwinding. We woke to the sound of cuckoos & lambs each morning. Plenty of walking trails for the serious hiker around the cottage without the need to drive anywhere. Near to Caradale and Torrisdale with wonderful views out over Kilbrannan Sound - and great local amenities like community shop, Torrisdale distillery & café. Short drive to Crosaig & Arran ferry - and Tayinloan to Gigha ferry - for day trips. Functional kitchen - supermarkets in Campbletown or Lochgilphead on the way down. Easy drive to Tarbert or Campbeltown for dining out. All in all outstanding - I'll be back.

We only had 3 days and not a week!

This peaceful location boasts a well-equipped cottage and fantastic hosts who communicated easily. The cosy fireplace made our stay even more enjoyable and the great location allowed us to explore the peninsula and nearby islands. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return. We loved it!

Warmly welcomed by hosts to excellent refurbished cottage, formerly spacious barn. Fine spot when you long for spending a few days "in the middle of nowhere". A minus factor is the absence of WIFI and the fact that the approach from Carradale is only via a degraded track uphill, which after all and with some experience takes only about fifteen minutes. We used it as a base to explore Kintyre.
