The Chicken Shed at Knowle Top

We have been to the chicken shed 4 times now and every single time we come we are just as blown away as the first time we came. It really is our happy place and we always feel so relaxed and at home during our stay. We can’t wait to come back for a fifth time!

Incredible!!!! We will definitely be back. Such peaceful, magical, and special setting in luxurious accommodation. Loved every minute.

You definitely need a car as it’s a bit of a drive through farmland but worth it! The owners are literally next door but the property still feels private so not really a negative.

It was so quiet and peaceful, and the views were absolutely stunning. We even had a surprise visit from some peacocks!

The road leading to the property was very uneven and would damage a car if driven too fast. The potholes could be filled for a better experience.

The property is absolutely stunning and the only thing that better than this property is the view which is just amazing. Luckily for us the weather was lovely and we could sit on the terrace and watch the sun set over the valley and then enjoy a morning on the terrace again with a coffee

Perfect retreat to relax in. Spotless in terms of cleanliness and modern. Really comfortable sofa & bed. It was grey and rainy for our stay so not much wildlife, but the 3 peacocks who stayed perminantly close to the building were lovely to watch. The shower and bath facilities were incredible. The hosts were very friendly. Worth every penny!

Beautiful views. Quiet and relaxing holiday. Enjoyed watching the visiting peacock and peahens. Plenty of walks from the property. Although next door to owners house, it was very private and not overlooked at all. Gift basket was a nice welcome. Not far from Clitheroe for supplies but felt isolated which was just what we were looking for.

As others have stated the access lane has two areas with potholes due to being a farm track. It has a very steep section near the property. Don't let it put you off, just take it slow and preferably arrive in daylight. We didn't find it a problem at all.

Location awesome, outlook is incredible and the surprise wildlife visits were an added bonus. Excellently presented accommodation with every need catered for. All that is missing is an automatic turning circle ....
