It was clean and quiet and the host Shimane san and his wife were very nice! Thank you so much!

The floors make a little noise because of the wood... but not an issue.

The rustic cottage is in beautiful area and very clean and comfortable. The host and his wife were wonderful and so hospitable. They are some of the nicest people we have met on our trip! They even came to pick us up at the station and drove us to a late lunch after when they found out we had a long day and hadn’t eaten. We also enjoyed the peaceful surroundings! Thank you so much for making our stay for our son’s graduation at ISAK even more memorable😃

Hosts were very kind and helpful.

House was smaller than expected. No air conditioner, only space and kerosene heaters. Some of the utensils were not clean. Location was not the best.

Peaceful and quiet. Lovely surrounding. Owner is an elderly couple who are not able to communicate in English at all but yet tried to convey as best as they can to explain the facilities in the house and how to use them. Very helpful and friendly couple.

Kerosene heater. Can’t have the heater on through out the night.

It’s clean, very well equipped with heater, cooking utensils. The owners are so nice and friendly. Language may be a barrier but they tried really hard to accommodate all our needs. The place is slightly secluded which is perfect for quiet vacation but you can still go to town centre by just taking 1 train to Karuizawa station and the owners are nice enough to drop and pick you!

It’s a bit secluded, having a car helps

The host was very nice. He offered to drive us to the supermarket for grocery shopping.

The road in the woods was a bit challenging for normal city driver.
