very quiet place which would suit one person or a couple, it is very peaceful and the hosts are friendly. Los of supplies.good shower

we actually ended up losing a 10 year plus friendship over me picking this place. I failed to read about the mother in law being downstairs and my friend didn't like this, also I failed to pick 2 rooms so read carefully when booking this as its only one room and its up 20 odd stairs so me having emphasemia didn't appeal. It was far too expensive for what it was it felt like a sleep out, I paid 170 for one night, I think it should be more around the 80 mark. I didn't like the towels most of all they were line dried in sun so they were hard and scratchy. maybe invest in some new towels for bathroom and the seal on toilet wasn't a proper cleaners seal it had been broken so maybe not use one at all instead of a recycled one. we didn't actually stay in the day we just dropped stuff off and left cause my friend thought it wasn't very private with the mother in law there so we went back into Alex and to a film and didn't go back until after 10pm, the place was very hard to find in the dark. I think the photos were not accurate, the room looks nothing like the photo and its very dark and dingy

We didn't have the breakfast because my daughters are coeliac, and it's safer not to take the risk. The location was lovely - about 3-4kms's out of the town centre, in a lovely garden setting, shared with the owners. Also, the room was lovely and cool even in the blazing heat of a Central Otago summer afternoon.

Great little space, quiet and peaceful

The bed was terrible and very squeaky, everytime you even moved it made so much noise and when you have 3 other people in the room, it's not ideal. I ended up putting a pillow behind the headboard. A new bed would be a good investment. .
