Location was good. Appliances were spotless. Nice porch to sit and relax on.

Booking presented this with 2 bathrooms, when in fact there is only one full bath and a half bath. Also could use some TLC.

The location was convenient and very clean and spacious for a small place!

Parking isn’t guaranteed to be close and living room couch needs to be replaced.

The space was clean and quaint. The neighborhood is quiet and close to the beach. The host is easy to communicate with and fixed our issue with the internet connection.

Everything. This property was not at all what we expected and had thought that we had booked. We were under the impression that ‘whole home’ meant that we had booked everything that you see in the photo but in fact, it is a detached house that has been spilt into 3 single story apartments. There is one parking space for the 3 apartments and this is on a first come first served basis which again, is not what we expected. Inside, the property was in a bad state of repair with basic furnishings and very badly cleaned and so within 10 minutes of arriving, we were extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. The property was advertised for 6 people but there were only 2 mugs and insufficient cutlery for 6 and if we had stayed, all of this would have had to have been washed as it was not clean. Unfortunately, the situation then got worse as we then found recent evidence of rat activity in the kitchen. We contacted the owner whose only resolution was to send a cleaning team who took an hour to arrive. Once cleaned, we still refused to stay in the apartment and so the cleaning company called for their boss to arrive and this took another hour. The boss decided that we should move to another whole detached house owned by the host which was to the standard as to what we were expecting. Donzell, the cleaning company boss saved the day as when I complained to booking.com while we were waiting for him to arrive, they said that rats in a property doesn’t meet their criteria to be moved to another property. It is likely that alligators and grizzly bears don’t either so I suggest that you book through another platform other than booking.com. Keep away from 1703 Avenue M, Galveston, TX 77550 at all costs.

Great location. We timed it. Exactly 8 min walk to the beach, through a beautiful, dog-friendly neighborhood. Comfortable front porch. Perfect parking. Great size 2 bd, 1 & ½ bth apartment with all the amenities.

Could've been cleaner. A lot of dust under beds, couch, and light fixtures. Some mouse droppings under the couch. No night stand or light in the main bedroom. Just the big fan light.

Great location and ample space for our family. Host was very response and easy to deal with.

It would be great if the bedrooms had lamps so we didnt have to have the big light on or no light at all. There were rat droppings in the living room-on the floor and on the table.

The property was clean, spacious, and was exactly what was listed!
