We loved the underfloor heating in some of the bathrooms and the kitchen, games/dvds, Amazon fire stick, log burner, nice showers, spacious kitchen, choice of reception rooms and the bath tub. Loved the location, though as noted on a previous review it’s a steep walk back up (but this wasn’t a problem for us!). And we felt the price was quite reasonable given the property size.

The mould in the bathroom and old cobwebs could be so easily sorted but hadn’t been. Could do with a lick of paint, some rooms were much more modern than others, a broken bed in one of the rooms and little details (like the hairdryer and its attachments being in different rooms and there being whisk attachments but no electric whisk to use them with)

Great house with plenty of space for multiple families to come together. The kitchen space worked well for a big family birthday and we used the conservatory all the time. The pool table was in constant use when we were in the house. The garden patio was great with a lovely view of the Lake ( the paths were over grown and inaccessible on our arrival but Wheelwright’s sorted it straightaway) A treat to walk straight out of the house into the hills, but a tricky walk back from town for the oldies in the party.

The kitchen wasn’t the cleanest which was a shame and only 5 wine glasses in the house which wasn’t great for a family 90th birthday celebration.

Large enough for the whole family, close to amenities and the town, good facilities

My room had black mould in the shower, a large water stain on the wall, pealing paper near the radiator, black mould on the sink tap
