The House was cozy, clean and well equipped for our stay and even if there was something else that we needed, Jan (the host) was very willing to provide it. The location of the house was great as well.

superb location in walking distance of het Loo. easy driving access to nearby locations. kind and very helpful host.

As an ambassador of Marriott I am a frequent traveler feeling comfi in most environments, but the host Jan goes above and beyond to make you feel at home.

This little refurbished carriage house is a gem, a pretty nineteenth-century building set in a lush garden behind the main house. The downstairs living/dining/kitchen space is large, light, comfortably furnished, and prettily decorated. Kitchen was well equipped. Outside, a tiny but lovely private terrace & garden area with bench and picnic table that receives morning sun. There is a good restaurant right next door, other cafes, supermarket, organic/natural grocery store, cheese and wine shops within 10 minutes' walk. You can also walk to Het Loo Palace and park in 10-15 minutes. Host was very helpful when needed, otherwise didn't bother us.

This was not a problem for us, but some people would find the very steep stairs to the attic bedrooms difficult or even potentially unsafe, especially for elderly people or young children. The WC is downstairs. Directly behind the house and across the street is a pub that was a bit noisy on Saturday night (otherwise it was very quiet staying here).

Excellent location for a vacation with kids. Close to natural park veluwe, juliana toren, apenhaul and manyy more sites. Close to shops as well. Jan is an excellent host.

The stairs are a little risky with young kids. Other than that, all good.
