Castle Cottage

Had everything you needed for a pleasant stay, also the village is lovely and within easy reach of Harrogate and Wetherby. We went to a wedding at Wharfedale Grange which was 10 minutes down the road so this place was ideal for a nearby place to stay for the weekend.

I can't pick a fault with the property at all. All I would say is try bring all your food and drink with you as the convenience store over the road is quite pricey, but that is probably to be expected in a village store.

Location is absolutely perfect and deco in the house up to my standards.

Someone could pay more attention to detail and deep cleaning all of the kitchen cabinets was very dirty in side. Also much old dust on ornaments. Vase with the fake flowers extremely dusty.

It was fairly clean, had most amenities you’d need.

We weren’t told about the building project next door, they rudely awakened my 2 young nephews with sounds of drills and hammers at 7am. This led to a very upset morning with some harsh words from the contractors, they later apologised but the tone of the day had been ruined.

A lovely property with everything you could possibly need. Very clean and comfortable. Great communication with the owner who couldn’t have been more helpful.

Everything was great.

Location great. Parking great. Really comfortable beds and sofas. House was clean and nicely decorated/furnished. All rooms were a good size. Toiletries were a nice touch. Immediate response from the host when we had trouble with the key safe which was very much appreciated.

The only negative was a bit of traffic noise and pub ‘chuck out time noise’ on the first night. There was five of us and only 4 dining chairs so we had to use the vanity stool from the bedroom, not a problem for us but an extra chair might be a good idea.

Fabulous- all amenities to a high quality and many extra touches throughout. Has been renovated to a very high standard and the location is terrific, very close to a great pub/restaurant and Post-Office/convenience store. Great dog walking around and easy access to drive into Harrogate. Nice cul de sac with a good parking space.

Can't think of anything. I think the best rental of this kind I have experienced.
