"Warm house but needs a good clean and some repairs"

Close to the plough inn for a family birthday. Was warm and comfortable beds

It needs a deep clean and carpets replaced downstairs. The bathroom has a carpet in it, that needs to be wipeable flooring such as laminate or LVT, how many people have pee’d on the carpet? 😫 The shower screen seal was dirty and mouldy, needs replaced, the sealant around the bath and sink is dirty and needs replaced. There was dust on lamps, surfaces and sockets. The downstairs carpets need replaced, they are frayed on the joins between kitchen, dining and front room. The washing machine needs a clean and door left open to air. On minor things, would be better to have a new washing up sponge and a new battery in the dining room clock. A lot of noise from the road and next door but that can’t be helped. Was handy for a family birthday at the plough inn, but wouldn’t stay again.

Good sized bedrooms and clean bathroom

Soaking wet door mat so socks got soaked as we took shoes off. Water clearly gets under the door. Also hates the at there wasn’t even salt and pepper left at cottage. So if we wanted to cook we had to buy literally everything. Get a bit mean.

Was surprised that there was no milk,bread or any biscuits even supplied. There is a shop next door but a little something would have been nice. Also towels in bathroom although clean and fluffy were very small. I guess I'm used to my bath sheets!

Was hardly there as only down for a wedding. Everything worked out well for us Loved the fact a big teapot with a tea cosy!

I wouldn’t say anything we disliked. There wasn’t any toilet roll but that’s just an over sight. If you like fresh coffee - bring your own cafetière Bathroom mirror - still a bit too high for us to see whole of our face

"Good place to stay when visiting"

Nice to have a bit of space for the dining table to eat some meals. Only 1 mile into the centre of town. We used a cab for £4 each way !

Sometimes a bit of traffic noise but mostly ok.
