Cloud View Cottage

The location was good as was the parking on street.

The pillows could have been improved, the place felt as it could have done with a deep clean and was a bit musty on arrival.

Perfect location for the local pubs and visiting my grandparents. Clean, kitchen perfect for cooking up some breakfast. Great to have Netflix the evenings when the weather was damp!!

- On the patio, we found a wall mounted ash tray situated at head height, just at the back door. This was overflowing with cigarette butts when we arrived. It required a key to be emptied, which we did not have. Also a lot of butts on the patio floor, it looked really dirty. - In the kitchen, the coffee and sugar supplies were unusable. The instant coffee granules were in short supply and solidified in the bottom of the tin. Both the coffee and sugar tin were absolutely filthy on the inside as well as on the outside. Shame! - The fridge had not been properly cleaned therefore, we had to clean away dirty crumbs before use. - There was a musty smell throughout the house on the ground floor, this being strongest in the kitchen. Although the weather allowed us to open windows to ventilate, the smell never went completely away. - the bedlinen on the double bed was stained with multiple marks and needs to be replaced. The fleece blanket on the double bed, same issue. - Seems slightly strange that the bathroom floor is fully carpeted. Especially when the shower screen does not have a complete seal and is therefore prone to leaking. - The rubbish and recycle bins were smelly enough to make you gag. It would seem that they are not put out regularly or simply need a thorough clean. - although it is a really nice cottage, we expect a 100% service and hygiene when we pay 85 pounds a night... Just had the impression that not a lot of effort had been made with regards to hygiene and making the guests feel welcome. Hope this review helps!

Nice cosy home Well taken care of

In the evening it was chilly. Turning up the thermostat didn't help a bit. Found the central heating unit. Waterpressure almost too low.

The house was spotless and a good size. Everything we needed. The location was fantastic for visiting family in the area. Everything was convenient but was far enough away from the town to be peaceful.

The bed in the main room was a little on the soft size for us, but that is a personal taste. When it is time to replace the bed, I would recommend getting a king size to make the stay more comfortable.

Well located for our trip. Also a nice selection of shops and eating options within 2 minute's walk.

Full Ash tray on wall in courtesy,cigarette buts on courtyard floor, shard of glass in court yard, kettle needs descaling other than that ok

Location perfect for visitors using public transport as near the railway station and buses into Congleton. Shops nearby. Although on a busy road very quiet inside the cottage

lovely little house , ideal for family of 4 to stay at whilst visiting family.
