Host & Stay - 57 Woodland View

I will never use host and stay again. Nothing but trouble from start to finish. Aggressive tones in their answers and took a payment for £200 that wasn’t authorised and they can’t issue an invoice for. Shocking service albeit the property was lovely.

Lovely little house and I'd stay there again

Comfortable two bedroom house. Quiet location. Bit dusty in places and a bit dated but functional. TV reception through Sky was dodgy.

Convenient location a short walk from the centre of Holmfirth.

No back door to let the dog out. Patio table broken.

Few things in the property need fixing & lots of cobwebs in the bathroom which we cleaned.

Unclean, poor condition

The location was great being a 10 minute walk through a park to the centre of Holmfirth. It's a regular house so less of a holiday location and more of a functional place with neighbours hanging their washing out outside the front door etc. Not a problem but may be interesting to other people.

When comparing prices with other similar properties be aware that a security deposit is added on to the charge and you will not be sent the code to the lock box until you've paid the deposit. You can either pay £25 or you can pay a £250 deposit that is returned less a £10 "admin" charge. It's not a huge amount of money but I was annoyed that this wasn't stated more clearly in the property description or even included in the price.
