Yelagiri Villa

We felt cheated. Extremely overpriced. We paid 6188 INR for 1 night (4 people) Although the balcony was ok with atleast picnic table to sit. Lot of trees around property. Campfire was not offered.

Deviations to actual: - Location not at all near to lake as mentioned in the map. - Dirty towels and blankets. - Not at a Villa. Just a small partition/ compartment made of plywoods on the first floor of a small house - No proper road to property. Mud road - No basic amenities like soap, glasses for water etc.. - satellite TV didn't work. Only youtube - Steel cots very uncomfortable. Furnishing very cheap as in contrast to pictures - Service very bad and unprofessional for the overprice. - the second partition is just adjacent and seperated by a plywood wall and there was less privacy. - Room was in bad condition with mold, lost paint (see pic attached) - Very loud due to sound from speaker from nearby temple. We felt extremely disappointed and our trip was ruined due to this stay. I live in Germany and I have travelled 40+ countries and never was this disappointed with a booking.com property. I am a genius level 3 user in booking.com. I went with 3 of my friends who work in reputed companies in Bangalore. We informed the owner about our dissatisfaction after 2 hours of our check-in. We paid 3000 INR advance and we informed we would like to vacate. He insisted us to pay full amount of 6188 INR for one night. Because of that we decided to stay to not incur further loss that we have already incurred due to this overpriced compartment. The owner was rude and had no ears to hear about our concerns. He had no fear of bad reviews and was focussed only on his money. Extremely bad service E.g. we were 4 and found only 2 towels in the room and we asked for 2 extra towels. The service guy was very reluctant and brought us 2 dirty towels (I have attached pictures in the review) We asked for a campfire for the cold climate was not there and was mentioned as additional cost. Naturally we declined. As the feather of the crown, they locked the outer gate in the night time (may they thought we would leave without paying the balance?

Street to the entrance is not good. It should be good on Summer and Winter.
