Peter's House

Peter's House is superbly located 15 seconds from a great little beachside cafe that sells the best gelato, morning pastries, a multitude of coffees, beer and soft drinks for very low prices. And another 5 steps from the cafe you are on a wide pebble beach with super clear waters ideal for swimming and lounging on. And unlike sand, your towel does not get dirty, and there are no bugs. The public bus up to Taormina is nearby, as well as the Hop-on-Hop-Off bus. Peter's 1 bedroom house has 2 excellent air conditioners, 1 in the bedroom, 1 in the dining/living room. A comfy sofa that we moved to face the 42" TV where we watched a Netflix show to end the long tiring days. The kitchen has no microwave but is totally outfitted with stove, fridge, cutlery etc. Everything is upscale, modern, and very clean. Washing machine is very efficient, and there are 2 clothlines that run the length of the long patio that has a seaview. For us the queen bed was much too firm and caused pressure points on our old travellers' bodies. A memory foam topper on it would make it much more comfy. But everything else was superb. In early October the temperature was 20C at night and 24-28C daytime, and mostly sunny for the 4 nights we were there. Our train from Siracusa stopped at the Station which is a 5 minute walk from Peter's House, where he and his wife greeted us with friendship, and explanations on the free wifi, gas stove, recommended restaurants (very good Girasole etc.) They also allowed us an early checkin which was appreciated since our train arrived in Letojanni at noon. There are lots of seaside restaurants nearby, as well as small markets for fresh fruit, vegetables, milk etc. We were very happy we chose Peter’s House and Letojanni as our location, as we found Taormina to be very crowded and expensive, and although it is beautiful there, one day was enough for us. We really enjoyed the quieter and less expensive beachside location of Letojanni.

The bed was much too firm for us, we woke up with sore backs. A mattress topper would make it much more comfortable.

I liked everything: the location right next to the sea, a quiet and peaceful area, friendly staff! Huge thanks to Gloria, who checked us in immediately upon arrival without waiting for check-in hours, it was very important for us, as we were incredibly tired from the road. Also, thank you very much for coming immediately at my request and changing my child's hypoallergenic underwear without any problems, although I forgot to specify it when booking. Everything is great!

Everything was fine! Nice view from the balcony to the sea- even it is side view. Close to the train station, bus stop, the beach. Good base for a bus trip to Taormina-15 min. The guests would be happy to find basics at home especialy for a short stay: tea, coffee, salt , pepper, oil, water to drink.

Great location. Accommodation was clean, nicely reconstructed and designed. Lot of equipment for cooking/washing. We appreciated the proximity to the beach, free parking possibilities on the street and good choice of restaurants.

We stayed two nights there, time to visit Taormina and to climb Etna. In low season a car is the best thing. The apartment is spacious, very comfortable very close to beach.Kitchen well fitted with all you would need. Hosts were very kind, we arrived much later than announced, but they waited for us in the car.

Super clean apartments! Good sea view from the balcony. There were no any problems with parking in this area of the city. Good connection with Taormina
